Append Miku WIP (a.k.a Diamond Eyes)

May 13' Issue of ImagineFX really hooked me with anime/manga art. [link]

The WIP is far from complete; the basic shading and color has been laid out, hair has yet to be detailed and given depth, symmetry of the face needs fixing, no background, light source, skin texture, color complementary, etc.

It's tricky to shade a flat medium like anime to look 'realistic', anime/manga don't have logical volume, so here the best approach is to keep a light touch on the value dynamics, meaning keep things soft with the shading
I've been looking into for inspiration, do check his gallery out, it's awesome

One aspect I will be going wild with is the hair, they look warranted to be all floating and flailing about, not shampoo commercial-like of course, but added flow and dynamics ;D
