...the lovely Shepard wakes up from the rubble and makes her way towards the Bioware HQ as the Reapers sees her off, and a kind person as she is, she wouldn't forget to bring a gift...to the guys that thought it was a good idea to kill her off!!!...*coughBiowarecoughE.A.cough*
COMMENTs:</b> This work's mission is to represent the collective of thousands of ME fan's feelings of anguish and despair at the manner of the ending of a great gaming saga. What better ways to portray the main protagonist herself to deliver this message! XD
- The decapitated MARAUDER head, a.k.a. 'MARAUDER SHIELDS': This is just Easter Egg really, for the lol'z check this Youtube vid: [link]

I'll start by saying your composition is done very well, colors and shades are balanced out so our eyes are not left stuck in one area, and the subject is in focus. Great job on this.
Your painting skill and attention to detail is absolutely phenomenal. I can see you put a significant amount of effort into making this piece as realistic and accurate as possible. Anatomy is also spot-on, you understand female anatomy well enough, and the body proportions are accurate.
My biggest issue with this piece, being a huge Mass Effect fan, is your decision to depict female Shepard half-naked with her arms, hips, upper thighs and part of her breast? thoroughly exposed. We understand that, at the end of ME3, your armor is partially destroyed. However, Shepard, regardless of gender, was not bearing this amount of skin. It's a tactical disadvantage and makes her substantially vulnerable to enemies.
Most importantly, the character is completely non-sexualized in the game. In fact, there is a huge emphasis placed on her being a highly competent soldier with absolutely no bearing placed on her gender. Thus, the fact that you chose to sexualize her while depicting her in combat really serves to degrade her as a character.
I also think the amount of reapers along with the floating rubble in the foreground you decided to paint makes the piece look a little too busy.
One suggestion I could give is to add some small details to the background (any ghost buildings? city scape? etc), and it doesn't even have to be in focus, since our focus in on Shepard and the reapers behind her. I think it would definitely enhance what you already have.
I am a big fan of this piece, fem shep looks lovely! Her eyes and omni-tool draw the attention right away. Her red hair is a good shade rather then an annoyingly bright color. My only complant is how the metal of her armor is close clinging to her crotch, because body armor doesn't really work that way. Though I have seen many other versions of this I still find this one stunning. The blurred gravel in the front of the image gives it a very dangerous feel and shep is right in the center of it where she belongs. Over all I think it's a very good piece and I hope you make more like it. (Thane maybe?)
Awesome for the support! XD Yup, I try to hone in on making video game-y looking artworks and keep that painter-ly style at minimal. I haven't got to that point yet, too many games to be part of my project, though I've been contemplating on it. Are you into Soul Calibur series? That is more likely for me to have a go at
Unfortunately no. I know that Tekken is not so popular by it's storyline as Mass Effect, stronside of Tekken is system of fighting. Therefore i understand your position What about Call of Duty?
I used to like CoD, especially CoD4:MW. MW2 was good, but then it just lost handful of charms in MW3, it's not as innovative. Since the economic recession of 2008, gaming developers are trying to push out games as fast as they could without giving much time to perfect it, so you can faintly sense that most games after 2009 lacks what they used to just before 2008 (like CoD4) Not all games are subjected to this, but most apparent ones are under EA. Mass Effect 3 is one of the example of a game that hasn't been fully developt until it's properly ripe, hence the rushed and poor written ending. This also applies to MW3, they push it too fast so not enough time to be innovative. MW2 was balanced, it's fluid and fast tempo but still creative. MW3 focus more on multiplayer I think, so at least improved from MW2
Btw, the first 2 CoD was epic, it puts Medal of Honor to shame years ago. In fact, I stop playing MoH entirely hehe
Infinity Ward made MW2 and MW3 without modificating game engine and graphics because they were relying on popularity of storyline and multiplayer. Even the Black Ops 2 has not serious changes in graphic, but this game is really relies on it's multiplayer(New Tech etc). The most interesting that both Infinty Ward and TreyArch uses one engine (IW Engine 5.0) and still making a millions. Don't know what is the problem of Mass Effect, because im nat a fan, but i think it's on the same situation with COD, everybody discussing it's ending as i know, probably it's also relies on storyline BTW u made a perfect art, it's also a proof
