- After the success of 2B and her support companion 9S, it was decided that perhaps an android that was built solely around an offensive support role was needed.
- They heavily modified and refined the flight unit to compactly fit on the back of YoRha infantry unit.
- Due to the compact size and weight issue, the flight unit was deemed more of a jump pack as it could only sustain a limited amount of flight before the operator needed to land in order to recharge its power cells.
- With keeping the offensive capability in mind, the experimental android was given an experimental bow that would be able to disable or disarm opponents making it easier for close quarter androids to finish the enemy off.
