Photoshop CS6: Painting, Airbrushing, Illustration and Photoshop Post-processing; 18hours +/-
Primarily inspired by the new Superman movie, Man of Steel, where things seems to be 'realistic' having Christopher Nolan had a hand in the making of the movie.
As for this artwork, I try not to alienate much from the fans and pertain the core spirit of Power Girl - the whimsical overall tone and high optimism attitude.
In a way, I made her looking more 'down to earth' and towards that modest 'girl next door' direction; I believe this allow for a more virtuous depiction due to the sense of purity.
Heaps of metaphors and symbolism here, though I will not spoon-feed and allow everyone to perceive this in their own accord. Btw how you like my magical bird of heavenly bliss?! LOL again symbolism, doves don't fly that high

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactI am not an artist. But when I see something this beautiful, I feel I have to offer my sincere appreciation for a piece of artwork that I could never create but truly admire.
This is in a class of sheer beauty, only one other artist on dA touches me like this and he is <img class="avatar" src="a.deviantart.net/avatars/i/s/i…" alt="
" title="isikol" />. The rich ethereal background, the heroine's flowing hair and her gentle outreach to calm the obviously frightened dove. Even her near supplicant pose, as to show to the dove she will not harm her.Her dress and manner reminds me of one of God's angels. This artist has real talent and potential.
