SAMUS: I Can See You - Metroid

First off I have to say great job on the piece. This was beautifully made and I can speak for most of us here when I say you help inspire artists like me to be better by showing that it is in fact possible to create this level of artwork.

Vision: I love the mood and intensity that you're trying to capture here. A lot of people can see Zero-Suit Samus as just another sex symbol or sexy figure. I don't see that in this piece. I DO see that expression of "I will hunt you down and kick your ***," and that helps create that differentiating persona of Zero-Suit Samus.

Originality: That's kinda of an interesting idea of combining an expression or position of one character from one movie, to a character from a completely separate entity. I'm sure it's been done before, but not enough for me to consider it unoriginal.

Technique: I have to say, your technique is absolutely incredible. The different hues of colors blend excellently together. and the shading helps give it that spaceship feel. The gloss shines on Samus work with the lighting of the area, and shows the texture of Samus's Zero-Suit as smooth and well fit to her body. The reason for my 4.5 stars is because of her right leg. I wasn't quite sure what you were trying to do here, but to me, it seems like her leg is kind of.. disconnected I guess? I'm sure if I'm explained then I'll probably go "OHHHHHHHHH."

Impact: Not sure how impact's any different than Vision other than saying this is definitely a piece that stands out. When browsing group folders and looking at everyone's pieces, even in the thumbnails I was going, "Wow, this guys knows how to be artistic." I guess it goes back to what I was saying in the beginning. Art pieces like these tend to influence other people. They can bring back memories, give them ideas, or even support them when they need it. I, personally, definitely think this piece can help other artists, by showing the possibilities within art. I know that I'm going to jump back on art soon!
