Yes, I can paint cute things too! Well, it was a request from a special kid and I don't refuse such favor in a million years. XD
In many ways, this art portrays the 'mischievous' smiles of hers when she tricks Link into pushing him off the Cliff/Loft. Very cheeky and cheerfully non-apologetic. A video may help perhaps: [link] Pretty much a stark contrast from the Twilight Princess I guess; I find this version of Zelda refreshing, warm and vibrant; reminds me of this "childhood sweethearts" kind of vibe in the overall feel of Skyward Sword, even when I haven't really play it more than an hour lol

It's absolutely breathtaking!! I hope the special kid really likes this.
This is a perfect example of Zelda realism. I love how you kept her true-to-form and gave her such beautiful big eyes, how you combined your own style so effortlessly with Nintendo's. There's so much character in her expression, and so much beauty in every little detail. Those eyes!
Lots of people draw portraits of Zelda, but you deserve more than a five in originality, because this isn't just another Zelda portrait. The way she's holding that one hand up in a relaxed, beckoning gesture, and how her posture definately lets you know she's riding a Loftwing are great touches that set it apart.
Your technigue is stunning, and I hope you know that. I mean, everything about it...that faint gloss to her lips, the shimmering of her hair ties, each delicate strand of hair, the soft yet boldly striking lighting...
The overall impact is of course a five. I can't stop raving about this, so I'll stop myself now. This is one of my favorite deviations and definately the Great Find of the day, so I'll end on that final note!
My lord where do I start??? Let's start with vision, shall we?
Vision: This piece is just beautiful to look at. I could stare at it for hours and not get bored of staring. It's just beautiful. I love the background and the bright colors to make Zelda shine a bit brighter. This truly is an inspiring piece. Great work!
Originality: This is fine.
Technique: I have to admit this technique is perfect for this piece. I'm more of a clean digital person, but this is just great! I love how you can see each little strand of hair floating around. You did an excellent job on the texture of everything!
Hope you don't mind the late reply, my inbox never failed to get my mind boggled with all these messages lol
I see you've cosplayed as SS Zelda! XD For a person who dedicated herself for this character I take you words to heart since you've been her and know the best way to portray her. Though I put my little twist in it making her a bit mischievous; let's just say her smile here got Link pushed off the skyloft. Hope you are not going to do that with some poor boy
This is awesome to hear, many thanks for the support and your time viewing! Trying to capture that 'mischief' behind the smile, can't blame Link for sure for getting pushed off the cliff
