Far from complete, looking empty in some regions...for example, still missing the foreground to give more depth plus other goodies to complement the overall 'wintery' tone, etc.etc.
I've done an action-y artwork for my 1st entree, this warrants me to detach from that typically gritty theme and come up with something totally different, something pristine packed with symbolism and metaphors.
It's a far fetch depiction compared to the other entrees (yes, I keep tabs on them lol), I'm here to capture pureness and the explorer within Lara.

The concept in a general sense: she stumbles upon a hidden ruin/sanctuary. I'm going to add supernatural elements (something Fatal Frame -esque) to it to give this vibe that she actually stumbles upon the 'underworld/purgatory' that bridge between the world of the dead and the living.

Alternately, this is almost like a premonition in a dream; perhaps she dreamt of this vision of herself looking and gesturing (to herself) of imminent adventure. Perhaps this is a recurring dream weeks before the event of the game starts. Either ways, it's up to everyone's interpretation, I'm keeping it open for now.

The Ice axe is a strong symbolism of this adventure. It's an item that defines her, equivalent to the classic dual pistols (H&K USP Match) of the 'old' Lara Croft.
The footing on the pointy stalagmite is a metaphor. etc. etc.
Not much to say now as quite lot of stuff are missing...

Yup, 40% is impossible to reach since only 2-3 days left before the deadline, I'll do my best to focus on the overall composition and not wasting time on details as it's no longer a privilege. I supposed it wise as the overall structure that does it, details are great but won't really help me if the artwork is meh by the get-go ^^;

Anyways, hope you visit back my page after 3 days tops, the two entrees will be ready then :w00t:

oh men...i can see the details...the back statue, the eyes of lara with little luminous dot inside, the birds (dont know exactly what is it ^^ , crow or eagle something like that)
i just think (personal opinion^^) the hair look a bit too long (i talk about the white hair effect long).....btw its very nice and cool , i love the light effect with the dojo ^^...

wow ! with an big art like this ..this can be used for some cinema poster....if one day the movie is create , i can imagine an art like this
with stars name and title...look great ^^
nope, i not have play the game yet :( i hope play it one day , look cool .

ps: hey! i see you not have add the candle box and all in this one ^^...thats why i prefer the other one , more details and all ^^ (i love details)
